Dry red wine from 100% Dolcetto d’Acqui grapes.
After soft pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 8-10 days, malolactic fermentation follows and the wine continues aging in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in color, dry and velvety with a pleasing almond twist. Fresh and well-balanced it is an extremely flexible wine that pairs well with pasta, vegetables, meat and cheese.
Serve at 18-20° C at time of uncorking

The Marchesa vineyard is our oldest holding; it has belonged to the Marenco family since 1890 and is located in the Bagnario Valley; east-west exposure, 300 masl, white marl soil, Classic Guyot training system. Grapes are harvested the second week of September. Dolcetto is a variety widely cultivated throughout Piedmont. If planted outside this region, results are usually not very good. Its name may derive from “doss”, a dialectical term indicating the slope of the vineyard
